About this presentation
Raw version of this video shared to me by its owner Twatson. Twatson is the owner of this video as her grandfather recorded it July 1 1988 and so the video rights belong to her family, if you were to re-upload any segments of this video please credit her. This show features Sgt. Striper (Guitarist), Libbybear A'ce (Pianist), and Richard D. Lionhearted (Bassist) and was built by Creative Presentations Inc. The Sgt. Striper's Touring Band was originally a show called Sgt. Singer's or Sgt. Singer's Spectacular Star Studded Circus Pizza Show made for an FEC concept called Sgt Singer's Pizza Circus. When sold to other places they re-named the show to Sgt. Striper's 3-Piece Touring Band the show in this video being at Idlewild & SoakZone in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, USA. There is one confirmed set still existing in a warehouse in Japan, I will not be naming the company as I do not want them to be harassed but they want at least $17k to sell the show which comes with no showtape, This show was renamed Circus Band or サーカスバンド(Sa-kasubando). This video shows one showtape segment featuring covers/parodies of these songs: - Sgt. Striper's 3-Piece Touring Band (Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart Clubs Band) - With A Little Help From My Friends - Great Big Feet (Blue Suede Shoes) - The Purple People Eater - Rockin' Our Life Away (Drivin' My Life Away) - Love Potion No. 9 - Who Put The Bomp? - If I Could Talk to the Animals This show is oddly notable as its possibly the only Creative Presentations INC show to not play Rawhide. (Even the Showbiz Pizza Place Rock-AFire Explosion showtapes they produced includes the song in a Westerns show.) This upload is for archival purposes only, video belongs to Twatsons family, character and music rights belong to Creative Presentations Inc, Idlewild and all other parties involved.
How to study this deck
Arts decks teach by example. Don't just look at the works on each slide — describe them out loud in formal terms (composition, palette, line, rhythm) before reading the lecturer's analysis. Your description sharpens your eye.
Undergraduate viewers should treat this as a scaffolding for deeper reading — the slides outline the territory, but the textbook chapters and primary sources remain the actual content.
Five questions to test your understanding
- What is the single most important claim on the first three slides, and what evidence is offered for it?
- Which slide could you remove without losing the argument? Which slide is load-bearing?
- Where does the deck switch from definitions to applications? Mark that transition.
- What would a student who already disagreed with the conclusion need to see to be convinced?
- Which two slides, if combined, would give the clearest one-slide summary of the whole deck?
